Those pics of the massive beams up close are fantastic! No such thing as slow progress on this project and now there's proof.

Take my word for it,it's certainly going to be one of the best skycrapers ever built in New York city.

Engineering wise, it's probably one of the most extensive in the city (counting the cleanup), possibly topped by the original WTC.

What's the reason behind that(the words in bold italic)?

The demolition of Radio Row, the construction of the bathtub, and the PATH network. The sand from the original WTC excavation is where Battery Park City is today. Only reason why I'd say it was a little more extensive.

Glad to see progress the last months.

Maybe it is slow, but it will go faster once the crisis is over and the tower gets higher.

The almost completed west crane can be seen here for those who can't see through the fog

Please wait for the cam to cycle to the 1wtc

Is there room on the WTC site to add another Tower in the future?

I would love it that Twin Towers would rise again.....

God I wish people would just let the twin towers idea go. They're gone, get over it. What we're (hopefully) getting now is just as powerful.

I don't know man, it looks like an ordinary building....I mean there is nothing iconic about it...

In movies they showed the Twin Towers and you knew it was New York

Or When they show the Eiffel Tower...its Paris, or Big Ben in London, or Burj Dubai and you know its Dubai....

I mean when they show this building, you will be guessing which city this is, Dubai, Chicago or New York....

Designers need to grow more balls and come up with a more innovative design which is sexy, sleek, modern, innovative, iconic and identifiable....

they sadly missed the mark on this one..i am afriad
