I mean when they show this building, you will be guessing which city this is, Dubai, Chicago or New York....

Designers need to grow more balls and come up with a more innovative design which is sexy, sleek, modern, innovative, iconic and identifiable....

they sadly missed the mark on this one..i am afriad
Until i see some physical development in the eastern buthtub, other than the new PATH HUB (as well 4WTC), there is still a chance for either a second FT development, or a new twin development on the 200 and 175 Greenwich tower sites. Imagine coming out of the PATH HUB in a decades time, and directly above you are two 2000ft towers, similar to that of Kenneth Gardner design, that would be amazing, unlikely, but still there its a possibility, and a massive desire for it also.

Mercenary is right, in movies of the 70 to 90s you could always tell its NYC. Now your are always pondering what city it is. And only good skyscraper guru's can tell its NYC by identifying complexs like the WFC in movies, other than that, it can be confused with another city.

Earthcam team: Can you please fix the HD cam, and do it right? This thing can't go two days without screwing up, pointing at mud, pointing at a roof or rail, no uploads, frozen shot for 5 days... I mean come on! This is not the Hubble telescope!

WTC1 is entering a new quicker build phase and NOW is the time to see daily changes!

Once they get done putting up the steel columns on the west side, are they going to start pouring the concrete on the core? Or will they pour while setting the columns?

Don't freak. Judging by RBGZ, nothing major has happened today anyway.

The big piece on the left is a section of perimiter column with conections for girts. The unpainted stuff is probably 2nd floor and the painted stuff is probably 3rd floor mezzanine.

For some perspective, the trailers are either 48' or 52' by 8'6" wide.

Ehhhh I don't know. It's not "bad". It's just not "good" either. It would be nice if they could at least build Tower 2, as well. Tower 3 I'm not as concerned over.

The 1800 crane is up!! Now lets hope tomorrow we can see the first beams on that site being placed (and that the HD cam will be back up).
