I agree!!!

I have a question. I am wondering how's come they didn't install jumbo columns on other side of Freedom Tower while other side is already working on new floor above jumbo columns?

The new steel was ready to go for the east side, so why not install them.

Obviously their are some unknown reasons for them to not be installing the west side columns yet. Your guess is as good as any.

The concrete was poured a lot later for the western side than it was for the eastern side. I don't know how long it takes to fully set, but there's a good chance that had something to do with why the western side is lagging.

2WTC is a lot better than 1WTC, though. This design is boring. Well, not as boring as the original Twin Towers, but still...

There is a huge mobile crane there. The beams its sitting on for support are in the way.

metsfan are you sure?, from looking at greenwichboy's pic (post 10705), their doesn't appear to be any interference on the SW corner. Harder to tell on the NW corner. From what I see the mobile crane doesn't interfere anywhere.

In any project of large size, things happen in a very specific and pre-planned order. The columns will go up when their time comes.

The plan is for 9 construction elevators, 3 on the west side, 3 on the east side and 3 internal.

The core steel is up to the 4th floor and they just put up a section of third floor mezzanine late last week.

First off everyone should read post 1 on page 1 BEFORE bitchin about
the design all over again, be glad anything is being built again at all.

I was upset with the single tower at first but I got to thinking,
I'm actually glad there is only one large tower planned,
It lets everyone know something is still missing from that day
and no matter what we rebuild in its place things wont be EXACTLY
the same as before.

As far as the "slow" progress goes, I would love to see some other place
build a tower with as much security & saftey over such a complicated site
trying to please as many people as possible, Good luck.

Dubai may have the Tallest Skyscrapers but they will never have what
NYC has....some of the oldest & most beautiful, Dubai will never have
a Chrysler Building or ESB. Get over all the personal hang ups & enjoy the
construction, eTrolls can go home.

Hi guys,

I like the design very much and can`t wait to see it rising, maybe in 2 Years.
I hope this was a joke.
But it is defenetely tooooo slow !! **** !
Look to tower 185 in Frankfurt/Germany. That construction size is just
half a year running.
