Out of all the supertall skyscrapers under construction, this one sure seems to get analyzed the most.

Typically sunday is a day off. But they have worked sundays in the past. If memory serves when they were first putting up steel around the south core they did so over saturdays and sundays. So its not unprecedented. But it is rare.

I doubt it, the winds here are horrible. There's 50 MPH gusts.

It looked like they were pouring concrete near the core today, but I couldn't see any on the webcam. Anyone know what they were doing?

Hey guys, just wondering... The core is concrete, but what kind of stuff do they put/install to fill each floor?

Usually also concrete. The flooring that goes on top of it depends on the use of the space, and often is installed specifically for large tenants. Here is what a floor of Silverstein's rebuilt 7WTC looked like before it was leased:

Here is what leased space in the same building looked like after it was customized for the tenants:

I don't see any electrical hardpoints in the floor. Does that get put in over the concrete and the final flooring placed above that?

Actually, as you can see on the pic of the 7WTC, all those stuff goes between those beams...Electrical components, airconditon pipes and thinks like that...And then it goes ceiling like you can see on the lower customized pic...

no they not allowed to lay steel in rain. Even though tomorrow in Sunday, don't be surprised that they will work.

about my last comment a while ago about yorkers being proud and arrogant, im sorry, i was just angry at the time because the yanks had just knocked off my state's team, the Minnesota Twins in the playoffs after the Twins had that amazing run in September that no one, not even us, expected
