Looks, like they use the current floor to store all the newly arrived steel. The beams look like connections for the outer perimeter to the core.

I wonder which one's going to be finished first; 4 WTC or 1 WTC?

A $2.6 billion tax-free bond sale for World Trade Center developer Larry Silverstein was approved on Wednesday by a state economic agency though the rebuilding of the shattered complex remains stalled.

...if true!

(I'll wait for an official press release, maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds too good to be true. )

By the time the new WTC is finished, i think that Dubai will have a tower that already topped the everest.

Yes yes, because we're all seeing how well their unrestrained building is working out for them now.

That is unbelievably good news!! 2WTC could start construction sometime next year then! Or allow 4WTC to go full throttle again.

Maybe Silverstein will also get his $2.75 billion back from the PA and he could then start 3WTC as well.

Does this sound like a plausible article to you? You’re sure there's no catch?

The article is published by Reuters. I think their pretty credible.

I don't doubt there maybe a catch. Maybe the fact that SP is getting 2.6 billion from these bonds, they won't get their 2.75 billion back from the PA in their arbitration dispute. That wouldn't surprise me at all.

smallest tower wins the battle. Everybody knows that tower 4 should finish first. It will be the tallest building in low manhattan but that won't last long

I am so excited too! Retail stumps are completely disgraceful to the miracle that is building space in lower manhattan (not to mention the dead and wounded from the attacks etc etc) All available space in manhattan needs to be used, and not just left to sit! Even a public park is better than a stump.

Looks like we wont have to deal with that sick nightmare though! YAY
