By GreenwichBoy, WNY, 12-23-09. Looks like they're getting ready to start the next level of steel!

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/AP) -- Workers at ground zero won't have to go very far to grab a bite to eat.

They're getting a restaurant that's coming to them: Fast food at the top of the Freedom Tower they're building.

A Subway sandwich shop went up on Wednesday. It's attached to a construction crane that will move it higher and higher as each floor is completed.

The bright yellow concession trailer with an American flag will feed workers as they build 105 floors. That was almost the height of Windows on the World. Seventy-three employees died there on Sept. 11, 2001.

It'll take at least another two years for the Freedom Tower to be finished.

Only five floors have been built so far.

The first of those air plenum columns set in from the wall for the next floor, I think.

Actualy that's the tower steel. The Air Plenum steel is a lot thinner, and it would have gone up before any steel could have been seen.

I think work has stopped at the WTC for maybe, christmas purposes?

Now that they have Subway sandwich shop on the site I wonder if they have have the special $5 for foot long subs available. I doubt it, everything is so much for expensive in Manhattan!

I think we're looking at different things. I'm definitely not looking at tower steel.

I think I might be looking at something connected to the jumping forms connected to the crane or an illusion created by the facade of 7WTC.

There are 5 dollar subs in Manhattan. And I think they are serving them here too, according to WNY.
