You don't have too assume propaganda. It just shows that most people do not know or even care that the world's tallest building is currently in Dubai, despite the efforts of Dubai to be a major tourist destination.

Yes, since this is the only place in the world where the general public is BSed by those with more power or money. Oh wait...

lol dude, it's not propoganda, that poster is just ancient. back before most people had even heard of dubai, before abraj al bait began construction, and before shanghai tower had even been designed.

Holy crap, it's actually starting to rise. When I was there a few months ago, there was nothing at all. From all the posters and renders, I haven't been that much a fan of it, but as with every other project, I'll save my final commentary for when it's completed. At the very least, it's not just a gaping hole in the ground anymore.

Hopefully next year will be even better for the wtc. Maybe towers 2 and 3 will get the money to start building. In the mean time steel is rising at tower 4 as well. So we're making some progress.

Finally some progress, I haven't seen the thread for a couple of months and now it looks great.

This shot is awesome!

It reminds me (a little) the building of the old WTC complex. I keep my fingers crossed for that project, too bad that they're not rebuilding original towers but still Freedom Tower reminds me of them and the whole area with the memorial will be great IMO. Greetings and thank you for all the photos, keep up the good work

And may I mention that as the months go on this site will resemble the construction years of the Twin Towers because not only is the Freedom Tower going to be under construction but also WTC 4 (which is another massive skyscraper also under construction in the complex). Zo 2 towers will be going up at the same time just like back in the 60's/70's when the Twin Towers were going up.

It pretty much qualifies as a spite tower.

Looking good it's nice to see good progress onsite after all this time. I was there way back in july 2003 and it's great to see the surrounding area developing too.
