A huge amount of steel went up at 1WTC today. Just compare the current webcam view to the one that was posted here from this morning. Not only that, but this was also on a Sunday, when they usually don't work.

Inner layer of the steel on the west side, some outer steel on the east side, some outer steel on the north side, floor steel on the north side and a litte bit on the east side...Enough work for the day that is usually day off...

Excavation and site preparation in east bathtub. Controlled blasting for excavation will take place from January 11 through March 2010.
So they will be starting construction on Tower 2 soon?

Probably the 4 billion dollar Calatrava transportation hub in between towers 2 and 3, I believe the dirt has finally been removed down to the lowest level for blasting of the bedrock to begin.

Depends on if you count in all the new observation towers going up at the moment now. (Tokyo Tower, Guangzhou TV Tower, probably more...)

Building, not tower...

So Tokyo Tower and Guangzhou Tower are out...

But there are buildings that are U/C and will be taller...
