I wunder how they got that percentage of 95%.
To me it looks like there is more steel to install than just 5% of the memorial.
Ow well, as long as they finish the memorial on 2011 it's ok to me!

I thought the same thing. Looks like there is still a bit of steel that needs to go in the NE corner of the south pool. As well as over the section in the south on Liberty St. Plus all the deckover steel over the PATH roof.

Maybe they are counting the rest of the NE section steel as part of the Pavilion?

Looks like Earthcam will have to readjust the camera next week or the new floors will be out of the frame.

The earthcam is for the 9/11 memorial. Don't expect them to readjust.

why couldn't earthcam just put any canon/nikon 10mpix camera, cram it into a weatherproof box and put it on a roof overlooking ground zero

That's not his fault, he is just trying to be helpful and posting the link in this thread. Tone it down a little bit.

A WTC related update, from the Broadsheet Daily.

"130 Liberty St. Update: On Saturday, Jan. 15th, contractor Bovis Lend Lease plans to lower the tower crane 36 feet from what was the 27th floor to the 23rd floor. This will involve removal of four sections of the tower. On Sunday, Jan. 16th, contractor Bovis Lend Lease plans to lower the hoist from the 19th floor to the 17th floor."

Spielberg Exec-Producing Ground Zero Doc

PASADENA: Science Channel has given the greenlight to Rebuilding Ground Zero, a six-part documentary series from Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks Television and KPI Productions that will air in 2011.

Spielberg will serve as executive producer and creative adviser on the show, which was conceived by professional architect Danny Forster (host and producer of Science Channel's Build it Bigger) and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Jonathan Hock. Rebuilding Ground Zero will chronicle the building of the new One World Trade Center through the eyes of architects, engineers, construction workers and city planners. The series will feature 3D, high-definition, time-lapse cameras and fourth-dimensional computer modeling techniques. Science Channel cameras have been granted access from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center (LMCCC). Each episode will focus on one aspect of the project, from constructing the 1,776-foot tower at One World Trade Center to the memorials, park, underground museum and transportation hub being erected at the site.

"As we developed this project we realized no one could tell the story of the amazing engineering feats and the intimate portraits of the heroes involved better than Spielberg and DreamWorks Television," said Debbie Myers, Science Channel's general manager. "Ground Zero is an icon of America's strength, courage and dreams of the future. Through Rebuilding Ground Zero viewers will travel through the fascinating engineering mastery and emotional journeys of those involved in rebuilding the area."

Let's just worry about getting 2-4WTC built first before trying to get 5WTC started.

But getting the Deutsche Bank Building down is very good news for starting the critical Vechicle Security Center construction.
