the fact that people died to make way for this building is my point. His said Al Quaida did a good job, the fact you don't see anything wrong with that speaks for its self.

how is this thread getting so vile....don't talk about this and don't talk about that! Talk about what i want you to talk about? as far as i can see relating the old and the new makes perfct sense in this thread. Aren't the asthetics of the new and old, both, whether you like them or not, important to the architectural community? Furthermore and even more importantly,(while the validity of wether or not the old should be talked about in this thread is debateable) since when has skyscrapercity started censoring peoples opinions? I like this building myself but, if i didn't, i think i have the right to say so in a respectful manner, regardless who does or doesn't agree. A building may not be to my liking but that doesn't mean that the thread is not for me!!!!! These threads are for everyone!!!!

I didn´t say that it was the right way what Al Quaida did. Of course it is
NOT o.k. killing innocent people. But that is exactly what the U.S. army
does all the time. So the feeling of revenge is understandable. As long as
America fights in wars around the world it has to pay the price for it and the
price will be terroristic attacks. If America wants to live in peace it just
has to stop playing the worldpolice and stop fitting out Israel with
weapons. I really don´t understand why America doesn´t understand
this simple fact.

Wow. Seriously off topic. This is supposed to be about a building under construction.

Terrorism is NEVER justified Pfeuffer. The Mahatma Gandhi had issues with the British occupying and ruling his country, but he never resorted to terrorism. Your views are repugnant to me.

Now, lets get back to talking about architecture and engineering ...

You´re right but I had to correct my former statement cause some people
insinuate me that I would symphatize with the 9/11 terror attack. I only
refered to the skyline. I´ve been 3 times to N.Y.C. , first time before the
attack. ( actually 2 weeks before the attack )
My opinion is that the skyline looks better now without the twin towers
but it will look even better when all the 4 towers are built.
They just fit better. I have not any sentimental feelings with the old
twin towers because I am not a New Yorker. I just made a comment
on my impressions I got when I was watching the downtown skyline
from the Staten Island ferry that I used before and after the attack.

This is getting way too political guys, focus on the tower or have a PM discussion.
Do we see the top of the V shaped columns this week?
