As I understand it, most of the area shown in this photo will be greenspace surrounding the two huge fountains in the original towers' footprints. This will be nice.

Is the render looking back the other way, so the WTC1 is on the left?

The top picture is looking to the west, the rendering is looking to the east.

Yes. That appears to be the case.

Yes, but how much time did Empire State Building take to be built ? Because it was also under Economic Crisis and we can make a comparison. Except that during the Empire State Crisis, it wasn't a global crisis because in Europe, except England, there were no Global Economy.

It was a global crisis which originated in Europe and was triggered, in large part, by Austrian and German bank runs. The Weimar Republic was a financial disaster which paved the way for Hitler's rise to power.

Yup. They're putting up two floors at a time.

Nice. I assume they're prioritizing the steel floor for the upper one as the webcam shows.

All the workers I have talked to are honored to be working at the WTC. About the only negative thing is it's taking the PA and Silverstein too long tho get 2, 3 and the Transit Hub started.

One thing I have never seen on any rendering is the 2' by 3' recess at the 20th floor spandrel beam for the window washing track. The brackets for it can bee seen in many of the pics posted on the last few pages.

PS: The corner nodes well split into 3 columns, not 2. Also there are smaller nodes higher up, like on the 53rd floor.
