They already answered your question. It's so the PA can get rid of the 18000 like they did the 16000, and then install the third tower crane.

Because the only crane on site that can lift the corner node sections is the 18000.

PS: the little section of corner node in the photo I posted weighs over 50 tons.

I should refresh before posting.

It looks so small.

It's not very wide, is it?

It's almost as wide as the original twin towers were. You're out of your mind.

I can see why you are asking.
It's because the bus seen on the last photo is very close to the photographer, that's why the tower look slim

There pretty cool although the copy and pasted people from the 80s and 90s were a little annoying

Wow, Just think in 20 years this place is gong to be manhattan period. It is going to be THE symbol of new york. I can just imagine now concerts playing here, every year on september 11th the huge memorial service with f16 flybys (maybe) and 21 gun salutes that will become a part of america for the rest of its existance and we witnessed it all. I can picture turning on the news at night in my sixtys and seeing a reporter that wasnt even born when this happened doing the news under the shade of trees and with the sound of two roaring waterfalls behind them. Every family that visits new york will have family photos taken here, even movies will be shot here. It used to be that you went to new york and went to the top of the empire state or the rock and that was the best part, but now you can still do all that and then go to lower manhattan and view the wtc from the bedrock its built on. In this country we take a thorn directly through our heart and turn around and plant a rose right where it happened. Think about it the worst tragedy that has ever happened on american soil is now going to be the most beautiful part of any city and it just happens to be in lower manhattan which is the greatest city the world has ever seen. I dont think anything like this has ever happened before. WOWWW....o yea and dont forget our kids woudlnt have lived through any of this and this will be the manhattan that they grow up knowing as it is, just like how none of us have never known a new york without the empire state building.
