I am still waiting for a source that claims that it's 100 floors b/c another of skyscraper database sites say that it's 82 floors.

Why not take a look at the "Freedom Tower Fact Sheet" from the PANYNJ website?

Hopefully there's a very good reason for the slow progress. As I understood it, they wanted to way overbuild the podium base so it can withstand a street level bomb attack.

I think thats a very logical explanation.

Can anyone explain to me, explain what the rebars that are being installed are for

Emporis, which is one of most reliable skyscraper websites doesn't mention this at all.

There is a better idea and that it to not place roads through it rather than give it an ugly base.

There is a lot of information on Emporis that is never listed and some of the information listed is very outdated. I am most confident with Emporis, however I know they are not entirely accurate...

Emporis hasn't been updated in who knows how long. The information from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey obviously isn't false and is only few months old.

If you don't believe the "FT Fact Sheet," made by the PANYNJ, I don't know what to say.

^Oh no .

If someone blinds their eyes to information put out by PANYNJ, there really is nothing you can say Ebola. All you can do is nod and move on.

108 floors is the final count? They should have gone to 111 just to pass the previous WTC towers...

What do you think they are doing now?

Shouldn't the foundation be almost complete?

While they may be placed on an elevator, they will not count as actual floors. It is most likely this will be what the observation tower of the Harbor Centre is in Vancouver. BTW, that has its own seperate elevator from the rest of that hotel. Also, those floors don't count anyway since they are not occupied, just like how 2 WTC was 6 ft shorter for having the observation floors even though it was same height as 1 WTC structually. Therefore, the FT is 82 floors with only 69 being occupied.

With that logic, 7WTC would only be 44 or 42 floors tall, but it isn't. I'm quite happy you have no voice in how they decided what the official numbers would be. (And it's actually more than 82 and 69 floors that will be used all the time because you didn't count the observation deck and other floors that aren't office floors.)
