I think it was a big deal. They were not wearing vests or hardhats, jeans and hoodies with backpacks. No adult was with them.

I'll look through my pictures and videos to see if I took a shot or two, but I don't think so. Anyway, sending the info to the NYPD won't do anything four days later! I assumed they may have snuck(?) into the site, but I can't believe they could get out unnoticed unless they walked through the subway system?

Maybe one of them had a parent who worked there and got them in like the air-traffic controller with his kids in the control tower.

The lower portion of the North Pool is getting covered with the granite, and it looks pretty awesome compared to the concrete!

There are not stairwells it's a saftey netting surrounding the upper floors, like the Beekman Tower.

The pour is a crane pad for the 18000.

What is the status of the core? For me it looks like 20th floor, but it's hard see due to the shadows.

However floors 21 - 24 still look like a ring of steel. I don't understand why they build it from the outside to the inside, because the base was build exactly the other way around. But I study art, not architecture. maybe someone can explain it so even i understand it

PS: Thank you HK 999 for the great picture. It looks like you've been on the plane posted a few days ago

I don't think the safety net will cause a delay. Besides that, safety comes first! There will be enough names on the walls of the memorial!

-I saw a group of kids cross the bottom of the previous tower 1. I was like WTF? EVERYONE has construction vests (bright green/orange) and a hard hat. These kids had backpacks and baseball hats. I have a really good zoom on my camcorder and could easily see they didn't belong. No adult with them, and one left behind who had to run across to catch the other group who all exited through the small doorway on the west side. Strange lapse of security or just a normal event?

When you say "cross the bottom of the previous T1", you are saying they crossed down in the north pool on the memorial site, correct?

And this was on Saturday?

Mostly from the French and the Spanish, though we did our part.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more floors rising, it should be quite soon, no?

The Star Spangled Banner Lyrics
By Francis Scott Key 1814

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Yes. Down in the bottom of the north pool! They walked from the south-east corner to the 'doorway' in the center of the west side.
