My apologies for quoting a couple month old post, but I can't help noticing the building at the back on the left looks almost identical to 122 Leadenhall Street currently on hold here in London:

What is it?

Its probably an indicative render. I remember a few years back one of the London projects had something from Hong Kong representing a Croydon Development. They may have used 122 Leadenhall to represent the massing and style they want for that plot.

(You can actually see the reflection of St Helens (Londons best Mies Black Box IMHO) in it)

Thanks for the reply, didn't realize they did that sort of thing - and now you mention it I can see St Helens in the reflection lol

New tower seems a little too close to The Barclay - Vesey Building and to New 7... What you think?

It's not nearly as close as it looks, and certainly not as close as some other towers in Manhattan. There's an entire street back there you know.

I believe they might have the same Architects , that Project i think has a few Famous Architects ,and copy cat buildings. The whole project should be done in 2030. Depends on the economy , that's what some locals told me.

The new tower = one of the new symbols of New York, but a bit strange that such a structure pushing among less important buildings. Also understand that it is inappropriate to build on the foundations of the tragedy.

Thank you for this one. I walked around the site last weekend and from ground level there are no views that shows the site adequately. Please if you have access keep posting.

I'm guessing they would have preferred a bit more space, but the memorial pools drove the design on the entire site, I would think.
