It looks to me like they've used the same model found in Google Sketchup for this rendering.

There are no politics to worry about for 1WTC. It's paid for and will be built on time.

It seems like I've been checking the work on this tower for like, five years, and it's always stucked. Are they building one floor per quarter ?

At this pace this project will be finished in 2020.

Construction only started about three years ago (I think it was April 23, 2007 when the first tower crane was set up, then the other one was set up about a week later). It took two years to get to street level. It's now on the 24th floor and should soon be progressing at about a floor a week.

At this pace this project will be finished in 2013.

There are , why do you think it took so long to get to this point? 2 States have millions poured into this , via the Transit Hub since its the PATH. The PATH is funded by New Jersey & New York......and a few other political things tied it up... Knowing NYC /Jersey Politics it will happen again, maybe not in-till the Project is almost done , but trust it will.

decking of the 24th has begun.

I wonder if they immediately start with the 25th or first finish the blue netting. Can't wait to see the split of the corners.

(had to edit the floors two times. i'm not good in counting :p)

Because there's a 6-story tall lobby and then several very tall mechanical floors before you get to the office floors. The first office floor is close to 200 feet above the street.

It's the same for WTC7, there's a three-story tall lobby and then 6 mechanical floors, so the first actual office floor is on the 10th floor.

I guess it refers to the old wtc. By leaving out floors 7 to 19 it almost gets the same official number of floors as the old wtc (108 vs. 110). but it's just a guess.

btw the floors on the rendering are wrong.
"The building now officialy 108 Floors tall, instead of 82. The base will occupy floors 1 - 19, Floors 20 - 63 will be offices, floor 64 will be a skylobby, floors 65 - 88 will also be offices. Floors 89 - 99 will be Mechanical floors, floors 100 - 102 will be used for Observation and other public uses. Floors 103 - 108 will then be more Mechanical Floors." (skyscraperpage)

Sounds interesting - over in the London forum it was pointed out that another one of the towers in that render is Bridgewater Place, which is in the City of Leeds, in West Yorkshire (England).

Excellent diagram !

Is there an observation deck on the ring at 420 meters high??? Is the 390m observatory the highest one in the tower???

Thx !

You're very confused. There haven't been any political holdups on this particular tower in a long time. It's fully paid for and on-schedule.
