It holds additional weights on the back of the Manitowoc cranes, in this case the 18000 it gives the crane additional capacity and reach. The wheels basically carry the weight when the crane is unloaded so it doesn't tip over backwards!

That is the only sad thing about having a fantastic view. There is always the potential of someone putting up another supertall to block your view. Dino, the view from that point in 7WTC will soon be gone...

Yeah, but it's not that bad for 7WTC...It's worse for Verizon building, 1WTC is right in front of it...And it's so much taller..

Right now the Hilton has a fantastic view, and I was afraid after 2WTC and 3WTC were up, there would be nothing. I think it will be OK because the trans hub makes enough space to still see 1WTC, WFC and a slice of the Hudson.

The progress of this tower is great. I'd like to visit New York when the new World Trade Center is finished.

Yeah, 3WTC will block this side, and 4WTC and 2WTC will close it completely..But Hilton and One Liberty Plaza have nice open space on the other side so it won't be that bad...

Nice POV. I quote this picture because it is a great picture that gives us a good view about the progress. Keep on posting in the future
