Tower One is about 7 feet smaller than the Twin Towers, in overall dimensions. (212 feet square vs 205 feet square) The hight well be the same, minus the spire.

This puppy is scheduled to top out next year, 4th quarter (16 months from now), and that is very doable from what I have seen so far.

Pictures don't convey the right impressions of the site. I had similar feelings until I was on the site last week. This will be a massive building.

there no doubt its huge. But the former WTC were massive. Tower one was 6 feet taller then tower two and you could tell. Just like you can tell this a few feet smaller.

I love this building and the whole project but i think 4 floors a month is a little optomistic.

Footprint is smaller
Floor count is lesser
Office space is less
Roof is lower

only the spire is taller.

I like this tower and do not care about the numbers. It's a symbol, not a statistic.

Not to poke holes into what your saying but not all of NYC is a island. Manhattan is only a small part of NYC. Staton Island is pretty much the country and long island is pretty big. And the Bronx is a part of the main land state.

Does anyone know what's going on inbetween the two memorial fountains? It looks like they could be installing beds for the trees, but I might be mistaken.
