Believe me, i don't think that will happen anytime soon, they seem happy with their system of units.

European? The entire world uses metric. We're the only ones that don't.

It's lame that's what it is!
Metric is so much more precise and exact. I keep my GPS on metric as it makes everything clean and understandable.

Why are we arguing over metric vs imperial system? Dude, it doesn't matter which system of measurement you use. No system can be or is inherently more accurate or precise than any other. Precision is not a quality inherent in the standard of measurement but in the actual measurement you make, and the more decimal places you have the more precise you are.

technically U.S is not the only country, liberia, and burma but these two are small. Also you are GOING to school to be a CAD designer that mean that you havent finished yet so it doesnt mean that you know. AutoCAD is only a 1 semester class. But back on topic this is a couple day old but a worker was hurt by falling metal

http://www.dnainfo.com/20100701/fina...-falling-metal
Quote:
FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A construction worker was hospitalized Thursday when a piece of metal from the World Trade Center site fell onto his leg, officials said.

The unidentified worker was on the fifth level of the One World Trade Center high-rise project — the site of the future Freedom Tower — when he was hurt about 12:43 p.m., according to officials from the FDNY and the Port Authority.

The worker was taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries, an FDNY spokesman said.

A source said the worker was employed by the Canadian company Collavino Construction, which is the primary contractor responsible for pouring the concrete at the site, according to the website Construction Today.com.

An official who answered the phone at the company’s New Jersey offices said he was not aware that any of their workers were injured.

In March, another worker was injured at the site when he fell 20 feet into a hole from the fourth or fifth level of the building, the FDNY said at the time.

During that incident, the FDNY was barred from entering the WTC site, which is under the control of the Port Authority. The injured worker was carried to the FDNY and the EMS workers outside the construction site, the FDNY said at the time.

The FDNY said there were no such restrictions to their access during the latest incident.

Excuse me, AutoCAD isn't not just one class or only one semester class. My degree in interior design required me to take THREE CAD classes in three quarters. Some degree programs could requires more than three classes depends.

Anyway, back to the topic.

On Good morning america they entioned how dramatically different the site looks compared to a year ago, and how they are preparing for the queen today, she is supposed to lay a wreath she probably wont be there long.

Uh, there's way more to being a CAD designer/engineer than learning AutoCAD. This is the last response I will make on this topic.

New York reached 100 degrees for the first time in almost a decade.

Link: http://www.weather.com/outlook/weath...hts_2010-07-06

Heck, it's hotter there than it is down here in Georgia, which is rare.
Speaking of 100, this is my 100th post.
