What are they going to use to pour the concrete once the core starts rising above ground?

For the foundations and the lower parts of the building they use mobile pumping trucks. You've already seen one in action in ZZ-II's post.
but here another shot as these trucks are really cool.

When the tower grows further they'll probably use a fixed pumping platform (concrete placing boom). something like this:

There're are other options depending on the construction methode.
If you want more info go ahead and ask

Then something else. I noticed they're installing something that could be formwork between the wall and the steel columns. If so we'll have the first part of the first floor soon
Here's the pic:

[QUOTE=Carlos123;14248351]NYC in the future???

I don`t like number 3, it looks like in Shanghai, too sportive, not really american. Think the USA needs strong houses, like pillars (like ESB, Sears, Hancock).
Might be nice architecture, very futuristic, but its more than a playground than an empire!

I'm used to a completely different building technique so I really can't make out at all what is supposed to be progressing in there or how.

^ I agree. This building is being built in a way that I've never seen before.

I disagree. I think that many US cities should build bold designs. Some of our skylines are starting to age and need something fresh to wake them up. Which is why I hope 80 South Street gets built.

But I've derailed the thread. Back to FT.
