Well you can't exactly blame him for asking that.

Quite a bit of time has passed since those columns were erected, and as you can see, not very much else has happened aside from installing 2 tower cranes.

There is undoubtedly a lot going on underground, but from what we can see, about the only thing that changes is that stuff gets shuffled around down there in that hole every few days.

Okay, today lets move this shit over here, and that stuff over there. Tomorrow move all that shit back over to here. And the day after that, move it all over there. . . If they're not really going to let us work on building this tower, then we'll just make it look like we are!!!

Hopefully, we'll start to see some real progress soon.

well it's silly that they've been there for a very long time and nothing else has happened... all i can remember about it is seeing it on tv where familys signed their names on the beams or whatever.

Nice tower, but is it just me or does the new WTC look a fair bit like the cancelled Kowloon MTR Tower?

he has a point, the beams are part of the main structure. but they where placed as a publicity stunt to show people that something is happening.

it's a quite normal speed for making the foundation of the tower. soon the foundations will be finnished and you'll see more visible progress.
the core of the tower will indeed be made of concrete. this is because of fire safety

All I've been seeing is a stream of concrete trucks. It looks like they will be placing beams where that road will be.

sure.

You can clearly see the progress on the Route 9A Underpass. The wall one the left (hardly visible) has been poured and its formwork was been disabled today. They are now installing the formwork for the first floor for the underpass project. They also seem to be finnished with the foundation of the core. I'm not sure about the foundations of the walls. One side is ready (the one with the steel colums) and one side I see rebar comming out of concrete footings, so they seem to be ready imo. About the other two sides I'm not sure. The PATH rail lays there, so it will be interresting to see how they make the supports over there.
In the darkblue you see some footings which are unknown to me. Maybe manholes for the sewer or the drain?
