I can't believe the progress. It's doubled in height since the last time I visited this site.

I haven't been to the WTC area in nearly 10 years (sounds very crazy). I remember stairing up at the towers and not being able to see halfway up because it was a foggy day. The scale of the towers from the ground up was incomprehensible.

Edit......later. OK thanks MysticMcGoo ,I see that now, explains his body position.I didn't want to make a new post. It must be Sept 11 now in new York...or near midnight ? It's just gone 3pm on the 11th here in Melbourne.....My mind is in New York today.....

I see that you do not know what's going on with this monument. Silhouette of a soldier is shown in such a way as in 1940 in the Katyn forest in Soviet Russia were shot shot in the back of the head more than 3,000 Polish officers taken prisoner during the attack on Poland in 1939 called "stab in the back '. Therefore, the silhouette of a soldier symbolizes the bayonet attack from the rear in the back.

New York Times has a fascinating multi-media presentation of WTC1 and the site...

This is really a fascinating visual presentation of what is to come. Not only with WTC1 but the rest of the site overall. It is worth a look on this somber day for Americans as we observe the 9th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

It's really fascinating. And it helps you get a proper view of the site. The whole World Trade Center complex is a true 21st century masterpiece

Just Asking, I noticed that There is No Concrete/Fireproofing Protection in the Structures of this New Freedom Tower... Have they did not Consider this Safety Measures???

My regards to the people who died exactly 9 years ago.
Glad they are rebuilding what was and what will be the most recognizable building in the world.

Heres some pictures from august

GOD BLESS THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES!!!

May we never forget that terrible day, 9 years ago.
Let's hope the world will NEVER experience something so heartless and brainless, like we all did on 9/11-01...
May all terrorists ROT in hell!!!

My payers go to the lost..

Rest In Peace!!!
