Tower one trivia

How deep are the caissons driven into the bedrock?

Me too
but it's a little too late for that
This design isn't as nice as the old trade center but it will still finish the skyline

No disrespect but the new towers design, is way better then the old one. The old tower were know for two things. The fact that they were twins and the height. Lets face it they were supertall boxes.

The gray cladding wasn't very nice either

In the end I think this building will be beautiful. It incorporates the old twin tower design on the top and it fits well with the existing skyline.

The old design, as mentioned before, was two gray boxes with external skeleton and impressive height for a box.

This design is fresh and architecturally better looking and efficient, not to mention taller. Fits well, good height and tacky exterior. It's a good building that should make New Yorkers proud.

everyone like and miss those twins, but two things: one, i think that it's too late for change the design; and two, in my opinion, i think that if they build again the same project, is difficult to be the same, i mean, right know, if someone think on the twins, unfortunally comes to the mind that awful day 9 years ago, and this new tower helps a lot to symbolize the reconstruction and some other things, so it is better to keep it in our memories and celebrate this new project!

Edit......later. OK thanks MysticMcGoo ,I see that now, explains his body position.I didn't want to make a new post. It must be Sept 11 now in new York...or near midnight ? It's just gone 3pm on the 11th here in Melbourne.....My mind is in New York today.....
Its a memorial to the ppl who died on 9/11 and in the Katyn Massacre. I call it Polish plaza because all the Jersey Polish Americans gather there along with Russians and Germans and have ceremonies , festivals and diplomatic meetings. This photo was taken after the death of the recent President of Poland.
