That makes it 281st tallest building in New York right behind the Trump International Hotel & Tower which is 138,4 m tall...

the
Trump International Hotel & Tower
is 177.62 meter / 582.74 feet tall. i think you meant
Trump SoHo Hotel Condominium
which is 138.38 meter / 454.00 feet tall and was finsihed this year.

also, there are several other trump towers in NYC:

- The Trump Building , 283m
- Trump World Tower, 262m
- Trump Tower, 202m
- Trump Palace, 181m
- ...

sometimes it gets hard to distinguish them...

EDIT: it's about time donald trump proposes a new supertall for NYC! i mean it's been ten years since his last "accomplishment" - the TWT. i imagine it being very hard for trump's ego not to have the tallest (residential) building anymore (C 57 will take the title).

I think this building will look better than the renders when it is completed

i like how you can see the form change of the floors already i mean the geometrical form that will make the tower look like its spinning a bit in the end

In person, the four corners of the building are very dramatic. They create a vertical arch that really stunned me because you just don't notice it in the renders.

At 450', WTC1 is equal to the tallest building in my hometown of Liverpool yet it is hardly noticeable on the New York skyline. The scale is very deceptive. It still looks like a short squat block in the photographs but I guess it is different when you are very close to it.

The entire building doesn't even cost 6 billion Euros.

Its amazing before 9/11 there was a restaurant and an observation deck and they think they got us but now we have all that plus a whole memorial which will create even more tourism than before. They can hurt us but well only come back stronger when its all said and done.

Are those diagrams accurate?
I mean when I look at Shanghai diagram it shows only 74 buildings over 100m.
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?...2081&offset=50
It doesen't really go together with this picture:

just because there is a lot of buildings doesn't mean they are all that tall. most of shanghai is pretty short although the diagram seems to be missing lots of the residential buildings that are spread outside of pudong district. but they all look the same so i see why they wouldn't count them :P
