Hehe... I think you've coined a new term: To 'Burj Dubai,' to... what exactly would it be?

I'm sure they're considering the costs of building this tower. Unlike in Dubai, I don't think there's not that much cheap workers to build the Freedom tower 24/7. I totally understand u being so impatient, but hey, it will be built. And when it's done, it will dominate the whole New York area. I personally think this tower will be the "Crown of Manhattan" as cliché it might sound like Imagine how tall and "powerful" it will be, as the old WTC towers were so dominating too.

Unionized construction workers from my understanding can make up to $95 an hour and crane operators over $100 if I recall so it is not like labor is very cheap like you said in Dubai.

I don't know why people complain about construction being slow. If all you're going to do is whine, don't look at the cam for 1 month; then look at it and you'll see plenty of progress. Right now is the time when things are going to get exciting.

the last few days they're working a bit slower than before. They're really taking their time to install the formwork, but I'll gues thats just because of the weather. 33C and humid is the best working condition

We'll have to wait a while before the core starts to rise, the southcrane is needed for the installing of the formwork en the pouring of concrete. The north crane is still needed for the FT foundation.
Does anyone actualy know when the drilling of the secantpiles of the East bathtub will be ready? I can't get any info about it and I'll gues they would be ready within a few weeks

Just wondering... will we see any progress during winter, or do they stop construction until the summer months?

Who gives a shit about what Dubai does? Btw.. the time it took for the the foundations for The Torch, 23 Marina, Marina 101, Princess Tower and others is equal to or longer than it's taking for 1 WTC to rise. So don't give me that bullshit.

This is for everyone: If all you are going to do is bitch, moan, and cry about why it's taking this tower so long to rise, then don't open this thread. Go bust a nut over the Burj until then. OOOO....THX 4 THA UPDATES!!!111

Dumbass people.
