You've been posting similar garbage in this thread for the last few pages. Reported. I don't waltz into Chinese skyscraper threads and complain about their inferior quality because 1) that isn't true anymore, and 2) I'm respectful.

Yes, they missed a really big opportunity to build something nice and they gave us that thing. Eugh.

In Chigaco this project was also already build probably, whats your point? The new WTC has so many extra safety measures than a normal skyscraper. I'm not aware of any other buildings in the world that gets this kind of attention to detail and safaty.

maybe you're forgeting that this tower is being built after a terrorist attack in the same place that the old complex was before, and took a few years to see what to do after that sad episode, and then, make a project in the similar line that the oldest.. that's my opinion, i don't know..

Yeah we will see how China reacts when one of it's fast-and-furiously build superskyscrapers ever gets hit by a terrorist attack (which will be sad, still). Or do they already build towers that can withstand this? The new WTC1 will probably withstand alot of jumbojets and even when the world's come to an end, it's massive metal core will simply float into space

I always wondered, would a 2,001ft height be considered to be in poor taste?

More so cheap labor and supplies thanks to no unions.

I'd prefer a 1776ft roof and have the 408ft spire, so it would be 2184ft! Yay!

You really shouldn't talk, considering how long the Shanghai Tower is taking.

Offtopic... How is going to be the vehicle circulation system with the opening of Fulton Street/West Street??
Fulton Street is going to be one way or both?? Hope somebody can answer it... Are they going to install a stop light in that intersection??

It's good to see the cladding be delivered. After watching this start at just a few floors, the red steel has made me imagine it being a red tower. I imagine they'll want to try and get as much done before it starts to get cold and snow. Now, based on their timeline to get this done, it would seem to me they're a tad behind, or is that just me?

Hey when it's being built right next to the WTC it wouldn't get any attention anyway so i'm guessing they just decided to go with something basic.

and IMO it's not that bad i've seen alot worse.

Does anyone know if this structure can work as a hull-core structure? Or is it the concrete core taking most of the lateral loads??
