Yeah, a few around here have been making a big deal out of nothing really. Could we please stop giving the guy a hard time for no good reason?

Core steel for the 47th and 48th floors are up. That takes the height to 560 feet.

I can imagine that New Yorkers must feel so proud when they see the freedom tower and others finally going up!

But damn, it took almost 10 years...

Not sure exactly, but it is probably one of the crew/material elevators.

yes, probably. I've always thought the elevator was inside the blue structure, not on its side

Should follow this thread a little more

I think this building alone is roughly something like 3.3 billion USD, and the new WTC as a whole is far over 20 billion.

Every person on earth except the few people actually in charge of this project wanted twins back in some form. Im not sure how that happened but real new yorkers got the short end of the stick because of the mayor, silverstein, and a few others. Hell even they knew what the people wanted, but still wouldnt budge. This project is absolutely magnificent and unlike any other ever made but other than the memorial part it would fit right into any other cities skyline. If twins were made it would be a new york only type of project and they would look out of place in any other city. This project is really nice and I have no problem with it and its what its going to be now, but I think that for the rest of time people will still always be saying what if they built newer and better twins.

...here it is Friday night and still no glass yet. My guess for the 16th is still in the running! It sure looks like they are getting ready for it. Materials usually arrive shortly before they plan to use them, and it looks like glass has been delivered over a week ago.

Those fins control the water flow. That's all. I don't see any connection with the twins.

What about this?

I'm just kidding, but i hope you see my point.
