I'm curious... Why in that render the vertical columns of the office space aren't visible from the outside?? It seems like if the floors where floating... and looking at STR's renders, they do appear. Hmm...

Looks like they finally took the formworks off the NE corner of the podium. Took long enough.

At least they're getting faster. It took something like five months for the first one, and two for this one.

Did anyone save a copy of the HD Earthcam image before it crapped out again? If so, could you upload to imageshack.com and post a link here? (No need to post as an image, since it's so big.) I'm kicking myself for not saving a copy this morning. Had a feeling it would die again, and this time there is no "stuck" image to study.

Edit: Never mind, it started working again as soon as I posted the above, so here is a link in case it goes gray again:

...and the Flash version:

I think this is an older render. Not 100% sure, but that might be why.

Renders are not always 100% accurate...They just give you an idea how this should look when it's done..

Looks like 1WTC will be the largest Christmas tree in New York this year.

Also, **** the waviness. I can tell from these latest pictures that it will be phenomenal with or without distortion.

There's nothing wrong with the glass being wavy. That is an inherent phenomenon of all flat glass panes.

I recall that this argument began because someone said the London Bridge Tower's glass isn't wavy. I hate to break it to you, but it is wavy. This photo taken by Shardview77 posted in that building's thread proves it.

If that doesn't put an end to this ridiculous debate, then nothing will.

That first one is actually a nice shot. Look at how all the folks seem to be staring at the rising tower. It actually has the feel of some of those old shots from the 40's and 50's...

Amazing! it seems to be 10 floors or less before reaching surrounding American Express buildings, after that it will be easily visible from across the River
