yeah, i think that those are great pics, and it doesn't matter if that pics are great shots or not, but you're watching how they're building something which is part of history.

No: only a blank should be used to separe. Decimal separator could be "." or ","
Exemple: 1 234 567.890 12 or 1 234 567,890 12
only accountants use theses stupid dots or commas.

This bulding looks very great: will be the lighthouse of the world.

It'll need to get to the 62nd floor (746ft 8in) to overtake 7. I don't see it happening by the end of January. The bad weather is slowing things down even right now.

They should complete the 54th floor before the end of the year. 58th or 60th by the end of January is possible. They should reach the 62nd floor sometime in February

Bear in mind though that because NY is on the ocean, it's not nearly as cold as the midwest and does not get remotely close to the same amount of snow. Therefore, the winter weather should not be a problem.

They started the 49/50th floors last tuesday and even though they had Thanksgiving holiday, they still haven't completed the outer steel columns yet. Usually by this time the blue netting is already raised. If the weather is calm for the next 7+ days, they can make up for the lost days. But if they keep adding up, you lose those days forever.

But they'll still come close to hitting their goal of the 55th floor by end of year. They might even hit it.

Rainy and in the mid-50s, just like it was in South Carolina and Atlanta yesterday.

It's colder here than in New York. Unless the storm of the century hits New York this winter, I don't want to be hearing about weather delays since it was close to 20 F warmer in New York on Thanksgiving morning compared to here.

I'm not sure if days lost to weather make that much difference. It seems like the core is a little further behind every month, and you can erect steel pretty fast. Does bad weather prevent them from pouring the core?

I don't think so. I was under the impression the core was doing well ever since they ironed out the problems they had during the summer. What stinks is that 1WTC could be 2 or 4 floors higher right now.

November was freakishly warm. The ten day outlook shows normal December weather for NYC, highs in the 40's lows between 25 and 35.

On a project of this size and duration one has to expect 3 or 4 days lost every month due to weather.

I'm wondering if the concrete contractor just under estimated the time needed to build the core. Unless it's raining hard or a blizzard or something they should be able to to core work. I also don't think that actual pouring of the cement was ever a factor, it's the tons and tons of rebar and placing the forms around all the floor beams and all the Halfen channels and the block-outs for core wall openings and elevator separator beam pockets, etc..
