the glass quality seems to be lacking compared to other new skyscrapers like the shard. is there a reason as to the distorted reflection, is it not in its final place. i'm hoping it gets better as more glass comes.

The shard's glass is distorted too, there just aren't a lot tall buildings nearby to reflect. I'm too lazy to dig up the pics that show this, however.

Nice, is keeping growing up, the glass looks strange, but we can not judge until see the skyscraper finished.

Perhaps it will give a special bright.

Here is a picture of the waviness of the glass of the Shard. And it's not even a close up.

Don't think there is anything to add, no?

The stainless steel corners look awesome. The renders did not do this building enough justice.

Yeah, that's cool! It really gets you into the holiday spirit
Nice updates, btw, there is no such thing as perfect flat glass, not at that scale/size at least

Pictures of glass from certain angles will show distortion, in just about any glass. BUT, like everything else in life, there are levels of quality.

The good / better / best debate between the Shard and 1WTC is interesting. Look at a lot of pictures of each and you will find STUNNINGLY clear reflections in most of the Shard glass. With 1WTC you will find some good, some bad, and some ugly.

Even the terrible cladding of Mercury City (I do not like the color) looks good from certain angles, almost fun-house mirror like in others. Here's an example of the worst!

1WTC still has plastic on its glass though, so it will be hard to actually see what it looks like until they peel it off.

Why do they have plastic on the glass, Is it to make the glass more water proff?

No, so that the debris from the site (that is under construction) won't scratch it.

But I was unaware the wtc1 glass had that kind of protection on at this point.
