From some angles I think the cladding looks great...other angles I think it looks cheap and poor quality...

How did this idea of cladding quality get put into people's heads? Seriously, where did the meme start?

Did a developer boast about quality and then that boast get written into an article with a bit of nationalistic pride thrown in? EDIT: this is a genuine question. I'm truly interested if this can be traced back to a particular article or press release. Did prominent British publication or tv program start this meme?

From a scientific perspective, the claims aren't based on logic or even photographic evidence. All glass panels look wavy depending on the lighting, temperature, distance, and reflected scenery. Yes, the heat of sunlight alone will make the cladding of any skyscraper look wavy. Not just look wavy, but actually be wavy. Thermal expansion is present no matter how "high quality" the glass.

As far as I'm aware there are no such publications...I'm basing MY OPINION on what pictures are posted here. I understand the science behind why glass is wavy (it's been explained enough times on here). From some angles I think the cladding looks superb from other I don't.

This discussions for now are irrelevant since there is no an official publication nor video explaining glass quality. Until then, you all shut up and enjoy the images.

Haha one meter I wish that was true.

Highest point right now here in Holland is around 30cm.

Great render btw. Is it really going to be that big?
