New York is quite a mess right now with so much snow around. Add to the mass influx of tourists for Christmas - New Years.

I guess some reflection. The glass is fine. No damage. It's clearly visible on Athinaios 8th pic.

I'm sure this will look great when it is finished, but does anyone else think the angled section, where the corners come together and right above the podium (I guess is the proper term, IDK) should have gone all the way to the ground. Or does everyone pretty much like the way it is turning out. I'm sure we all could talk about how we wished the final design would have turned out until the cows come home, but I think it's still fun to think about. I'm just not sure I like the podium--it's kind of jarring for some reason. Again, I'm sure it will look great!!!

Pardon my naive question, but do weather conditions such as the the snow storm of a few days ago stop or slow construction? I'm guessing skyscraper construction doesn't come to a complete halt, but are some of the workers told to stay home for a few days or until the weather improves?

Lots of workers probably weren't able to get to work yesterday and 2 days ago. I don't think it came to a complete halt, but slowed down by a lot.

This is slightly off-topic, but can someone tell me about the building under construction on the OTHER side of WTC 7 ? I was there a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to see what looked like a pretty substantial structure going up. It is on the corner of Barclay and Greenwich. Any info on how big/tall this will be?

Fiterman Hall. The old building was damaged after 9/11 and they're on its way to build a brand new Fiterman Hall

There's still a chance to to 54th floor this year..They worked up today..Cranes are ready to jump as well as the core...If they pull just one beam up on the Saturday and it's up to the 54th floor..
