I use to live in Alaska and that wasn't a blizzard. it was a cheap ass snow storm. A blizzard is 6 feet of snow in 12 hour and whiteout for a week. No snowmobiles, no skis, no blizzard.

I figure the core would keep going at least. Good chance for it to catch up some.

Yea but some snowdrifts in my backyard are 6 feet tall and when you get a storm like this in a metropolitan area it sure as hell seems like a lot of snow!

Ah, but in Alaska they have room to get rid of the snow. Where do you put the snow on an island full of buildings from end to end? How do you navigate the plows around thousands of cars and millions of people? Clearing up two feet of snow in Manhattan is more difficult than clearing six feet of snow anywhere in Alaska.

A little off topic, but you should see how lovely the Great Plains states get. After it snows it isn't even nice - it's just a bunch of brown slush/ice/snow pushed off to the side of the road. And it stays there until everything melts in the spring.

I can't wait to leave for NYC.

I take it you mean the end of the first quarter, unless they're going to work really fast tomorrow.
Looks like they're not counting on the floor a week thing. Probably some planned down time for weather that quarter.
Anybody know how far they're allowed to let the steel get ahead of the core?

You do understand I live in NYC. And Manhattan streets are cleared, the rest of the city not so much.
