But we all know who can answer this for certain... *fires up Zen signal*

No exterior pillars in that render? Is that accurate? Perhaps the observation deck levels are different than the rest of the floors?

If not, then we probably shouldn't draw window shade conclusions either.

Trump chicago has similar glass and it has normal window shades. I think it looks completely natural with shades on an all glass building, it makes it look occupied.

There are exterior columns, but only every six panes of glass. The first exterior column would be past where they "sliced" into the building for the render.

I think he is talking about the background where the glass that is around the corner is seen. In that case, yeah the picture is not completely accurate

I'd be interested in seeing a picture of the stairwell area at the corners of the base. The area around the northeast corner seems to be progressing well.

One question, does anybody knows if this tower will use renewable energy once it's finished and occupied??
I just heard that ESB is purchasing 100% wind power form GreenMountain Energy Corporation, it would be dissapointing if 1WTC uses normal energy... I can only remember they were instaling a huge fuel cell power made of hydrogen on the World Trade Center site, but I have no idea if this building will use the energy from that thing...

i guess it will... Since the sustainability wave going on I can't imagine a building like this one built in NY using normal energy ressources...
