In good lighting the glass looks good, in others where it reflects buildings it looks really poor quality. What a shame.

I'm wondering if the one world trade center will be as iconic as the former world trade center. BTW the cladding looks great !!!!!

Maybe you should not be thinking that WTC 1 will be iconic on itself, but all WTC towers.

Maybe it was explained already, but I was curious to know what's with the "Island" signage (the meaning)

I guess it has the same meaning, as all the "india" writings on the Burj Dubai as it was build. Just to show from which part of the city/which country, the consruction workers are. Construction workers are also used to write their names on steal beams etc. .

Is this rising still or are they just working on cladding? There doesn't appear to much progress on the top recently.

I think "ISLAND" is just the company that owns the tarp and is doing the work on that floor.

Currently Empire State Building is tallest, however 1WTC will surpass it in height. Statue of Liberty is actually quite short!

To answer your question- The current height of 1 World Trade Center is about 640 feet heigh. The height of the Statue Of Liberty is 305 feet tall.
So the conclusion is even now Tower 1 is more than twice as tall as the Statue Of Liberty. I hope I was able to anwser your question.

I know this is irrelevant, but what are the iconic buildings that stand next to ground zero, they all look similar, and have either a green dome or peak on top of them?
