No, One World Trade Center is located just above Fulton Street, the area where the twins once stood is going to be a Memorial Plaza. And the other office towers will be located on the east side of Greenwich Street.

Thanks, Swiddle. Looks like this peculiar industry has been working on the fireproofing of the Hearst as well the Jersey's Goldman Sachs Tower.

Here's a render I made in 30 minutes with an image of Harry Bell and a render by Silverstein Prop.
Hope y'all like it, it's not that accurate, but at least it accomplish my purpose: give an idea of how the skyline will look like from Brooklyn.

Every time I visit this thread (about three weeks) Iím always taken back by the progress. All those years of planning are beginning to pay off. And that glazing is superb, I can see my reflection from here. Speaking of glazing... Does anyone know how many units will be installed all together?

Over 13,000 pieces. That's just the office levels. I haven't seen a figure for the podium glass. We'll probably find out when that starts next year.

Or you can ask at wtcprogress.com, the PA is taking questions about 1WTC's construction.

I have mixed feelings about that. I love the idea of the proud and noble Empire State Building being the tallest in the city, at the same time it would be embarrassing to be overruled by the generation from the 1920s/30s.

So the conclusion is even now Tower 1 is more than twice as tall as the Statue Of Liberty. I hope I was able to anwser your question.

Please check on the thread or go to google.com and write New York City then click on images or go to skyscrapercity.com and see the diagrams of NYC there you’ll see that there are hundreds of buildings taller than the Statue of liberty.

If you compare the Statue of Liberty with an average 5 floor building, you will understand...

I don't usually care for trolls, but it was pretty funny watching zw038 expose all the jerks looking to prove the fact.
