as far as i'm concerned, the spire on 1WTC looks totally fine (see STR's new renderings). and of course, 2 and 3WTC will join "the spire show".
It was the famous American poet, Walt Whitman who in a poem from his collection "Leaves Of Grass" called New York City as "the city of spires" ...

Whitman often referred to New York by it's aboriginal Indian name: Mannahatta.

There's this strange fetish almost with light blue glass in modern skyscrapers. At least the other Verizon building was reclad in green, something more interesting and standout than sky freaking blue.

Just because there were very few good skyscrapers designed in the 60s and 70s doesn't mean we should reclad them all to make them look "better." I believe they wanted to reclad Sears Tower recently, reclad it silver of all things.
That`s because it looks good. What, do you want them to be red? Pink? Maybe neon green? Blue makes it look sleek and elegant. I do like the WILLIS Tower though. But that`s a rare exception. I would have no problem with every ugly tower from the 60s being ripped down and built anew.

rainbow it would be nice to see some renders of this tower with different coloured claddings to see what it would look like if it wer different coloured. i think it would be nice if at night there was a light dispaly on the tower so it changed colour in different spots

The new World-Trade-Center-Site will look fantastic!
It will honor the gone twin towers

What do you think, is it possible that the structure reaches 1000 feet in early july?
in this case, i would see another supertall on my visit
