Dude..You're gonna get heart attack..We need you here..
It is not a big deal to put feet numbers in calculator and get meter numbers..
It's just..Way easier if we use both since this is an international forum, and the whole world is metric..But, true, the tower is in the US which is not metric..Let's make some compromis..

This tower is not metric, suffer.

Or never hear my input again.

FYI, I have a full set of prints.

The clowns convert to imperial or I leave. Simple.

I'm sick of foreigner silliness imposing there way on this tower, it is imperial or nothing.

They can convert to metric, they are just lazy.

The 88th floor (14ft 4in, all other office floors are 13ft 4in) is the last office floor. 89th (23ft) and 90th (21ft) are broadcast floors.

The communications ring is three "floors", 107-109.

Sharp looking diagram. Nice job!

If you leave, I'll be totally lost. And I totally agree with you.

Wow. I've always had a lot of respect for you on this thread and all the other ones I've seen you contribute to. But at the moment you're acting incredibly immature.

I am fed up with forgen sillyness, I will not go out of my way to post metric units anymore.
I know there are still too many errors, if someone can provide me the correct info, is you Zen. Please accept my apologies if I irritated you, this sh*ty diagram is the second one I made and it needs a lot of corrections. Next one will include both metric and imperial systems, I will be very pleased if you could provide me by message all the official measurements so I can fix it.

You are replying to a spambot. Don't waste your time. Report the post, and ignore.

It's astonishing. How can people not know what a spambot is in 2011?

FYI, this tower is nor metric, nor imperial. It's a tower. You on the other hand are imperial, many other people are metric. This is one of the inconveniences of a international forum. (The logical thing to do when talking about engineering or any other science is switching to SI units, even US scientists are aware of this) Demanding, however, that every post in this thread should be in imperial units just because the tower is in the US is a bit too xenophobic for me. Just ignore these posts if you're not in the mood of doing a quick '*0.3' instead of going psycho over them.

And btw, I really like and appreciate your input in this forum. Hence I was quite shocked to read this kind of post by you.

On to the next meters/feet with this tower!

but for you, why is the structure with current more than 58 floors and 12/13 feet per floor only 656 feet tall and not at least 722 feet?

better?
We're only discussing the building (most of us), not actually building it. As long as the folks on site are all using the same units, I don't care if info on here is in furlongs per fortnight. I'd rather have interesting info whatever the units.

Can't speak for Zen, but the floor count has been discussed to death way back in the thread. The first 20 floors are not real floors (foyer, mechanicals), they don't all exist, and they just picked 20 floors for the first 200ft as a nice round number I guess (as long as you are working in the right units...).

Put that correction in and all your numbers will work, whatever units.

Totally agree with this...some people use imperial, some people use metric (actually most people). Although this tower is being built in America this is an international forum so get used to seeing both measurements Zensteeldude.

Is it really important enough to argue about measurement units? I mean, I know some might not understand the different units, but this isn't the American forum so people are bound to use different systems.

I never had any respect for you and knew what you were really like way back when I read your first posts: An arrogant, self-righteous, self-important rube, with a set of prints, which he lauds over everyone.

I am just happy you have shown your true colours to everyone here.

The reason you have to repeat yourself over and over again is you are a rotten teacher and writer. You do not know how to convey your meaning, when explaining anything. Most of your answers are circuitous and spurious such as "It is because it is" type answers.

Good teachers know how to disseminate information clearly and concisely and at the level of their students. You will claim you are not a teacher, but that is the position you have put yourself in on these threads and then you complain when your students have questions.

If you stop posting, these threads will be the better, not the worse for it.
