All new Danish highrises
Last Update: September 24, 2009
![]() Continued from All new Danish highrises Here's an update on all new Danish highrise projects. Compared to just a few years ago, we have quite a boom right now, by Danish standards atleast, and there are proposals in a lot of different cities. When is a building a high-rise? In this thread I use the Emporis Standards for high-rises. As a general rule, the buildings needs to be atleast 35 meters, and if no height is available atleast 12 floors. List of all the buildings that are either UC, Approved or Proposed (as long as they have a real design): Light*House - 142m - ~43fl - Approved - Århus Hotel Scandinavia - 124m - 36fl - Proposed - Copenhagen Dokken Tower - 118,8m - 33fl - Approved - Esbjerg Sky Village - 116m - 29fl - Proposed - Rødovre Sky Tower - 115m - 30fl - Proposed - Århus L Tower - 113m - 27fl - Proposed - Copenhagen M Tower - 98m - 24fl - Proposed - Copenhagen Hotel, Marmormolen Tårn 1 - 90m - Proposed - Copenhagen Thors Bakke - Højhuset - 90m - 28fl - Approved - Randers Copenhagen Towers, Crowne Plaza - 85m - 25fl - UC - Copenhagen Copenhagen Towers, North Tower - 85m - 21fl - UC - Copenhagen Hotel, Marmormolen Tårn 2 - ~83m - Proposed - Copenhagen Sky HI - 82m - 24fl - Approved - Ikast Ørestad Down Town, Residential Tower - ~80m - 18fl - Approved - Copenhagen Ørestad Down Town, Office Tower - ~80m - 18fl - Approved - Copenhagen Fields Tårn - 80m - 20 fl - Approved - Copenhagen SkyHouse - 80m - 20fl - Approved - Horsens Ørestad Business Center 1 - ~80m - ~20fl - Approved - Copenhagen Ørestad Business Center 2 - ~80m - ~20fl - Approved - Copenhagen Porten til Sønderborg - 80m - 20fl - Proposed - Sønderborg Bella Center Hotel 1 - 76,5m - 23fl - UC - Copenhagen Bella Center Hotel 2 - 76,5m - 23fl - UC - Copenhagen Hotel, Marmormolen Tårn 3 - 73m - Proposed - Copenhagen Lysholttårnet - 70m - 20fl - Proposed - Vejle Højhus Papirfabriken - 63m - 19fl - Proposed - Silkeborg Business Park Vejle - 62m - 15fl - Approved - Vejle DCC Højhus - 60m - 14fl - Proposed - Favrskov Hjørringgade 35 - 56m - 16fl - Proposed - Copenhagen Stjernehuset - 54,9m - 17fl - Proposed - Holbæk Juulsbjerg Erhvervspark - 54m - Proposed - Vejle Det Vredne Tårn - 50m - 16fl - Approved - Copenhagen Sejlet - 50m - 13fl - Proposed - Thyborøn Højhus Hobro Havn - 50m - Proposed - Hobro Højhus Katrinebjerg - 50m - 12-15fl - Approved - Århus VISTA Herning - 45m - 12fl - UC - Herning Siloen - 45m - 11fl - Approved - Copenhagen Isbjerget 1 - 45m - 11 fl- Proposed - Århus Isbjerget 2 - 45m - 11 fl- Proposed - Århus Isbjerget 3 - 45m - 11 fl- Proposed - Århus Isbjerget 4 - 45m - 11 fl- Proposed - Århus Bernstorffs Plads SEB - 44m - 10fl - UC - Copenhagen Bernstorffs Plads Office - 44m - 10fl - UC - Copenhagen Z-Huset - 42m - 10fl - UC - Århus 4D - 41m - 11fl - Approved - Copenhagen Isbjerget 5 - 39m - 9fl - Proposed - Århus Isbjerget 6 - 39m - 9fl - Proposed - Århus Isbjerget 7 - 39m - 9fl - Proposed - Århus Isbjerget 8 - 36m - 8fl - Proposed - Århus Winghouse - 36m - 10fl - UC - Copenhagen Højhus Herning Ny Mølle - 35m - 11fl - Approved - Herning Sky Tower - 35m - 7fl - Proposed - Århus And the ones without height: Røde Port Roskilde - Hotel - 21fl - Proposed - Roskilde Tournesol 1 - 20fl - Proposed - Silkeborg Tournesol 2 - 16fl - Proposed - Silkeborg Vallensbæk Stationstorv - 16fl - Proposed - Vallensbæk CabInn Metro - 15fl - UC - Copenhagen De Tre Søstre - 14fl - Approved - Copenhagen Twister - 14fl - Proposed - Copenhagen Tøjhus Housing - Njalsgade - 13fl - Proposed - Copenhagen Wakeup Copenhagen - 13fl - UC - Copenhagen Tivoli Hotel - 13fl - UC - Copenhagen Havneholmen Tower - 12fl - UC - Copenhagen Fem Søstre 2 - 12fl - Approved - Vejle Fem Søstre 3 - 12fl - Approved - Vejle Fem Søstre 4 - 12fl - Approved - Vejle Fem Søstre 5 - 12fl - Approved - Vejle Højhus Skamlingsvejen (1) - 12fl - Proposed - Kolding Højhus Skamlingsvejen (2) - 12fl - Proposed - Kolding Højhus Skamlingsvejen (3) - 12fl - Proposed - Kolding Højhus Skamlingsvejen (4) - 12fl - Proposed - Kolding Højhus Skamlingsvejen (5) - 12fl - Proposed - Kolding Vingerne 1 - 12fl - Approved - Copenhagen Vingerne 2 - 12fl - Approved - Copenhagen Sphinxen - 12fl - Approved - Copenhagen Krystallerne - ~12fl - Proposed - Copenhagen Højhus Jagtvej (1) - 12fl - UC - Nuuk, Greenland Individual projects - The "Will it be build?" is my own personal guess. ![]() The projects that are currently under construction: ![]() Z-Huset Height: 42 meters Floors: 2-10 Usage: Residential, Office, Private Hospital Status: On Hold - Construction started June 26th 2008 - Might be On Hold now in September 09. Originally the building was supposed to be clad in tombak, but the developer later decided on Indian granite instead. Loads of amazing high-rise projects here, Denmark is for sure in the lead in having some of the highest quality high-rise project in S&B nowadays. I hope "The Battery" gets approved/built, its a proposal out of this world!
Det Vredne Tårn and Bella Center Hotel have such a exellent design, world class architecture!

New building added (Thanx to EDK_DK
). I know they write 12 floors on the website, but I only count 11 on the renderings. I guess they count the technical floor on top as a floor, but I don't. It is 35+ meters though, so it makes the list. Didn't think it was UC already. ![]() Siloetten (in the Århus suburb Løgten) 36 m 11 floors (12 if you include the technical floor on top) Residential UC (Old silo being converted, Expected construction time: 2006-2007) Architect: Arkitektfirmaet C.F. Møller ![]()

Thanks mlm - Great thread...
I still count 12 floors - perhaps it's some kind of penthouse at the top. Take a look at this picture: http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/8...1753b47gg6.jpg Anyway it's above 35 m and Aarhus is very bad represented in your thread..

If you take a look at this page, it's quite clear that there are only 11 residential floors. There could be a balcony or something at the top, but I still don't consider that a floor.

What about the Bispebjerg Bakke buildings? I think they are pretty cool - but not sure if they are high enough for this thread:

/\ They/it are pretty special, but I count only 8 floors at the highest point, which wont do it. To make the list they need 12 floors, or 35 meters (standards like Emporis uses).

Actually I just found it on big's site and I think it is only 32 meters at the tallest spot, so I guess it is a no go...It just looks taller with the location right next to the metro....
