looking back a couple of weeks: I would argue that LA has a better climate than "Mediterranean". Mediterranean climates are categorized by (among other things) hot, dry summers. Coastal SoCal has cooling marine air that keeps it much more pleasant than Greece, Italy and North Africa. I will concede that the inland valleys are hot.
Similarly, winters may tend to be milder than much of Italy, Spain or other parts of the Mediterranean, although this may not be that pronounced. |
