Compare this view to the view heading southbound on the 101 as you're coming into Hollywood. Downtown's skyline is funny. Depending on the angle, it can go from boring To spectacular. Nice pic!

I think the view coming around the bend
on The Hollywood is impressive. I used to be pleasantly surprised by new construction when coming around that turn (during the 80s) but the only new construction today would be the Marriott/Ritz tower. |

They should have a big park in LA, like central park right in the middle of the city.

^ I think first there needs to be more development downtown to attract people to actually warrant a big park.

Really wish they would clean that graffiti off of the bridge.

That would be nice...but someone would just spraypaint new graffitti afterwards. Maybe, if downtown becomes more gentrified over the decades, and if the river is returned to a semblance of its natural look, so that the character of the surroundings changes, then perhaps there will be a time again when the bridges could be cleaned and then stay clean. But for now, any cleaning would have a very temporary effect. Not that they shouldn't freshen things up every now and then, just for the sake of maintenance.

I love those bridges by the way. They are pieces of art, and we're lucky they're still around.
