But this tower is stunning, great original design. Although it's not in a common skyscrapercity so I don't think it will get all the attention it deserves.

This tower is simply stunning! Its the new Shard on steroids and even better!
Obviously this will stand out like dog balls in St Petersburg but i think it will be good showing modern progression in the city. I also hope it blends in well with the beautiful historical world heritage part of the city and more towers spring up in the future. Just like La Defense blends in well with Paris.

BTW is this the tallest U/C building now outside Asia?

Yes, it is the tallest non-asian building UC if you don't count the antenna on 1WTC, which shouldn't be counted in the official height anyway.

I saw some simulations in youtube which showed that the silhouette is hardly noticable from the historic center.
