CN, definately, but I'm going to vote for Skylon because no one seems to care about it.

Size doesn't matter, it's how you use it.

OMG haha I have been to Vegas and to the stratosphere. I was meerly questioning why it wasn't included in this poll!

It's the most logical comparison to CN tower.

It has to be Space Needly for me - it looks more sleek.

Can't really take the view into account as I have never been to North America (although I have no doubt the skylon tower has an amazing view.)

So, on design alone, I like the Space Needle. Always loved it. Maybe my favourite ob tower on earth.

We're judging the design, not the height and location remember.

The Space Needle is pretty cool, and I like how it's situated away from Seattle's cluster. Now that I think of it, it shares that quality with the CN Tower.

Calgary's tower is indeed ugly. But it's bold and strange, which gives it an almost exotic feeling. I particularly like the deep red colour of it's 'deck'. Ugly, but interesting.

Skylon? It's nice enough, but outclassed and not really comparable here.

The CN Tower can easily claim to be the most remarkable and breathtaking observation tower in the world. It's the definition of grace poured in concrete. It's main virtue is it's sheer size, yet it's design is entirely subtle. I can't really say enough things about it.

I've been in all of them in the poll except the Husky Tower.

They're all good for their own reasons. The CN Tower is great for the view from the Space Deck (and looks great in the city), but sucks for photos. You're at the mercy of the windows being clean. Same as the John Hancock in Chicago (unless you like taking pics of dirty windows and spiders ) The Skylon is just a creepy old tower that has a nice view of the falls.

I think I'd have to go with the Space Needle out of the choices. It's beautiful, only the sixth tallest structure in Seattle, but everyone knows it and visits it. And it was one of the first.

My personal favorite from your criteria was the St Louis Arch. It's an identity, and when your in it you can look straight down underneath you, and really feel it move in the wind.

I think the Empire State Building is the best observation deck overall though that I've been to...

Would also love to go to the Eiffel Tower too....
