Nothing too crazy. It is an annual visit to see the old folks.

Ah ok. Enjoy your trip there. Are you flying via FRA, MUC, AMS, ZRH, or other airport?

I am going to be flying into very small airport, so I will be on a oldish B767-300ER Austrian airlines. I am looking forward to see that new Terminal in Vienna, the Sky Link.

Did it already, much better than the older terminal.

The part I liked the best was at the gates where you wait for your flight to leave. They have a cool leather chill out lounge part where you can practically lay down next to the rows, and rows of chairs.

Hmm it's not so bad the way it seems. When I was at the airport, I went over to check out that Jet Airways A330 just before the pax boarded. I saw about 20-30 Brussels bound pax, and the rest were all India bound pax. I am just not sure if they are flying to YYZ daily or? On top of that, Jet Airways got better reputation over Air India. I hope they upgarde to a B773 from an A330.

In other news, unconfirmed rumour, but it's from a reliable source, that Saudia (SV) are planning YYZ for June, 2013. Flights would be 3 x's weekly with 772, and may include a stop in MAN.

For this to happen, there would need to be a new bilateral air agreement between Saudi Arabia and Canada, as the old one from 25 years ago restricted access to YUL only....

9W actually flies the route daily. But I think that YYZ-India is operated with an A330 because it is a timed flight in Brussels wherein passengers can switch flights there for Mumbai, and that the airline is upgrading capacity on the B77Ws.

Oh ok. I will take a look. And by the way, Austrian Airlines flights are operated right now by Tyrolean Air, OS's sister company

- LOT Polish Airlines, with eight B787-8s ordered and an option for six more, has chosen its first destinations to be operated with the new aircraft. Toronto-Pearson will be the first airport to be served with LO's newest aircraft from 1 February 2013, followed by New York-JFK on 3 February. LO will also operate its 787s to Beijing, but with a later start date of 3 March 2013. - source

- Austrian will add two more Boeing 777-200ERs to its fleet that will increase its long-haul capacity by around 25%. In addition, the airline is investing €90,000,000 to refurbish and improve its long-haul aircraft, namely the B767-300ERs and B777-200ERs, with new business and economy class seating, and new in-flight entertainment systems, all of which would help in the future of the airline. - source 1 source 2

Oh yes. That's a good change from the A346. But, has LH operated its A380 to YYZ?

Not yet, but there's been a consistent upgrade for the past couple of years, so who knows what will happen in 2014.
