It all depends on a day. I had seen people come just before EK A380 (3ish pm) landing and stay up to 6pm or so. I would rather enjoy spotting than be stuck on a 401 during the rush hour.

As much as I want to see one greek airline here in Toronto, it does not look too optimistic. TK took their spot once old OA halted YYZ. Canada - Europe is oversaturated market where they 've got too many airlines competing. Some of them are playing on a very thin ice as well. As soon as Emirates gets their Asia bound passengers, some of them will halt YYZ as a domino affect.

Sure, but I think the effect for EK may be limited to the Middle Eastern and Indian subcontinent because those are closer to DXB than its counterparts in the Far East and Oceania, such that, for example, HKG-YYZ nonstop is already like 15 hours one-way, compared to backtracking via DXB because of its abundance of connections which could considerably increase travel time -- if not inconvenience -- for passengers already enduring a very long flight. I think the Far East and Oceania deserve to have some nonstop services of their own because it is particularly shorter to some extent to fly eastward nonstop rather than backtracking westward.

Yeah it went from very sunny to very gloomy hehe. If you noticed I messed up the A380 photo because I joined other spotters just to listen on the scanner. I forgot to change the setting, but I guess next time in a month when I am back to see LOT 787.

Air Canada today (18DEC12) announced the launch of its International low-cost carrier, rouge (Air Canada rouge), which will begin operation from 01JUL13, with a fleet of 142-seater Airbus A319 and 264-seater Boeing 767 aircraft.

Initially, Air Canada rouge will launch new destinations, Edinburgh and Venice, that are currently and previously (within the past 5 years) not served by AC Mainline. The rest of the destinations in Summer 2013 season will see Rouge replacing AC Mainline.

The flight number range for Rouge will be AC 1900-1999.

I would too, but I don't know if Rouge will use the three modified B763s AC has as all-Y configuration... I'd be pleased to see that happen. Perhaps another destination that Rouge could serve would be The Bahamas or another Caribbean Paradise like Antigua or Trinidad.
