LOL! I just noticed this and it gave me a good chuckle:

Wednesday 6:42
While the new agreement is now in effect, no new air services are likely to be introduced immediately by airlines of either country.

Okay, well I have a question for you all. Do transboarder flights operating out of T1 park at the hammerhead or is the head strictly for international flights? I've read that the hammerhead is used for both international and transboarder flights, but I always see the transboarder flights parked on the side of Pier F. Am I wrong?

Wrong.
Jet Airways flies to Toronto from Sep. 5, Delhi - Brussels - Toronto, with A332. 5 times weekly.

slight correction...

Jet Airways starts Sept, 05/07 to Toronto
Schedule for Sept 07-Nov 07 will be DEL-BRU-YYZ
9W 226...dep DEL 0230......arr YYZ 1215
9W 225...dep YYZ 1930.......arr DEL 0010+2

All flights operated with an Airbus A330-200.
Frequency is 5x week....every day except for Tue & Thu.

Starting Nov 07 they are planning to switch the DEL-BRU-YYZ to DEL-BRU-JFK and upgrade it to the Boeing B777-300ER.
Toronto will be part of a new route originating in Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore), BLR-BRU-YYZ operated with the Airbus A330-200.
Not sure yet if the flight numbers, or timings will change... but I fully expect it to be daily as 9W continues to receive new aircraft.

As a teaser Air India will be upgauging their existing service to YYZ from a Boeing B777-200ER to the B777-300ER for 2008.

Are you sure about Air India upgauging to 77W? That would be awesome!
Also, YYZ - BRU - BLR doesn't make sense... Most of the Indian population in Toronto and surrounding areas is North Indian. DEL would be ideal. But I guess passengers can connect in BRU.

Very sure. I'm not sure of exact date though... yes it will be nice. Toronto is quickly becoming a 777 hub...

Makes perfect sense because 9W is operating a scissor hub at BRU.
What that means is their BLR, DEL and BOM flights will all arrive within a 2 hour window at Brussels. Passengers can then transfer as required to their onward final destinations.
The reverse will happen on the return legs from YYZ, JFK and EWR respectively.

Here's a sneak peak of a couple of names... but I'll hold off on any details until I can officially post the supporting docs.
Qatar, Lufthansa, China Southern

Suffice it to say that YYZ will continue to grow in the coming years with new carriers or existing carriers upgauging equipment or increasing frequencies...

OH!!!

Well Qatar was a given.. China Southern is a nice surprise.

Lufthansa is the A332 from Dusseldorf, right?

And to add to my original question......Does anyone know if the A380 will be in Toronto....soon to make sure that the airport can accommodate it properly? Hartford in the States is going to see it soon for crying out loud! The A380 is suppose to be flying into Toronto in the future so it would make sense for it to fly here. When will it be Toronto's turn????

Who is suppose to be flying the A380 to T.O. in the future? I don't think any airline has officially announced that.
Only YUL is confirmed by AF.

The pictures dont show it, but it was really busy when I flew out Toronto on Etihad. Here are a few pictures of the airport I took awhile back:

the bird I flew on

Looking out to a a future Pier G

Some of the art in Pier F

Its surprising the amount of restaurants and stores actually in the pier, I am quite impressed

Looking out to Pier E, it was actually really busy 15 minutes ago, lots of AC and UA flights leave in the morning

thanks to some ppl, they've closed off the massive interactive art piece.

The Toronto Air Show is in a few weeks, you might just be in for a surprise!
BTW Emirates has stated in the past that YYZ would be one of their A380 destinations...
