The only "deadline" is completion around the end of next year along with the Transbay Transit Center to which the tower is attached. There have been no deadlines from the developer regarding topping out. But with a year and a half to go to the actual "deadline", seems they should have no trouble meeting it.

I was actually referring to the posts starting with #1949 and most specific #1958. I don't know though, where exactly that is coming from. But there is an expectation that the topping out of the core structure will be by the end of this year. And when I look at the progress so far, I don't know why they wouldn't.

Based on the rate of 1 floor, every 4.0 days, the concrete core should top out on 10/23/2016. At floor 50, the forms for the core will change, so this date doesn't take into account how long this will take. And maybe the pace will increase, since the core will be reduced in size, starting with floor 50?

But we still, then have the mechanical penthouse which needs to be constructed, and then the 150' tower top to construct.

Incredible skyline? Have you never looked at the ugly ass towers in this skyline?

The skyline is incredible overall no doubt.. but it has its share of ugly and dull towers. The design may be tired, but it gives the skyline a fresher look.

Please take your stupid d*ck-measuring skyline posts elsewhere. I never open those "best skyline" threads because they inevitably turn into inane boasting and BS. Don't bring it here. Buildings in this section are to be taken on their own merits.

I hope I'm wrong about this, but I think the top 30 feet of the tower will be cropped from the webcam. We are already around 570 feet to the top of the forms. This represents 38 levels at 15' per floor. We have 500 feet more to go, which represents a little over 33 plus floors, in terms of height.

They will probably re-angle the webcam upwards to prevent that from happening.

That will mess up their time-lapse video, but I'm cool with that...

What a skyline already and will get even better once those new buildings are finished. In my opinion, SF has the 3rd best skyline in America only behind NYC and Chicago.

Sometime today or tomorrow, the inner forms will be pushed up another 15 feet. This should put the top of the construction at around 600 feet. (39 floors x 15'). This will put it at the same level as 50 Fremont Center.

In about 12 days, the top of the construction will be level with the Millenium Tower at 645 feet. This will leave only three buildings taller in SF.
