I took this photo yesterday with my phone to show the rather Blade Runner-esque street scene developing around these buildings (Salesforce Tower, TransBay Terminal and 181 Fremont):

The highest exposed floor is at 36. The top of the forms are at floor 40. The steel is at floor 34.

Does San Francisco has more skyscrapers than LA? It seems to be denser.

Los Angeles has more buildings over 150m (492 feet) than San Francisco. But, San Francisco has more buildings over 100m (328 feet) than LA. Ha, figure that one out lol. At the moment San Francisco doesn't have a supertall while LA has one (i'm not including: Wilshire Grand and Salesforce). To answer your question, San Fran has 3 REAL skyscrapers and LA has 11 REAL skyscrapers. So yeah, LA has more skyscrapers but has less Highrises than San Fran. If that makes any sense San Francisco is more dense than LA in terms of population and buildings (don't quote me on buildings but i'm pretty sure it is).

Funnily enough, this will become the tallest building in California to the roof. Too bad Wilshire Tower isn't going to be taller without that spire.

What is the definition of "REAL skyscrapers?" According to statistics, LA has 25 skyscrapers while SF has 22 at the moment. That is the only stat that matters for skyscrapers.

This is NOT the place for stupid "my city has more/is better" than yours" d*ck measuring games. Please take it to some thread I can avoid opening.

If you have news or photos of the salesforce Tower, post them here. If you you want to boast about Wilshire Grand, there's a thread for that and this isn't it.

The construction camera now shows the first facade panels on the second/third floor in great detail. They are much more complex than I expected, not the smooth surface that is pretty widespread, like 4WTC as an example.

Great tower, but I must admit that I am surprised how "Matchstick" like the external columns are, and their spacing's, looks so fragile, and specially in a Earthquake zone! blows my mind, but I'm sure they know what they are doing.....
