That's amazing -- it's already blazing past 181 Fremont. The skyline is going to look shockingly different by year's end.

It is a great skyline in its own right but it is nowhere close with cities like Hong Kong, NYC, and Chicago.

I mean, no shit? You're comparing a city with a population of ~800K in a hyperactive earthquake zone to megalopolises several times its size, which don't have seismic issues to contend with.

I agree, comparing a "small town" like San Francisco to NYC or Hongkong is quite something

Maybe compare SF to the likes of Houston or Philadelphia maybe Seattle in terms of skylines

I would put SF's skyline ahead of Houston or Philly or Seattle. To me, it is the 3rd best skyline in America behind NYC and Chicago. SF is a dense city without being too big. That is what I love about it.

Love that cladding already. The white window lattices are classy, and Millennium's pinstripes will complement it nicely.

In fact, all four of the major towers in this cluster will have an interesting relationship in terms of cladding...

181 Fremont's pinstripes :: Millennium Tower's pinstripes :: Salesforce Tower's white lattices :: 50 First Street's white crossbeams :: 181 Fremont's steely crossbeams

...it's almost like there's some sort of master plan at work.
