..I guess you are used to New York slow pace;we have great stamina on the Pacific coast and less bureaucracy.
Also,the design is pretty simple.

I was wondering that too, but I believe that the live-cam is not adjusted properly vertically and creates that illusion. I believe it is still straight :-)

The tapering has definitely begun, though it's very slight at the moment.

It's getting more narrow.

Based on the live-cam, they seem to be re-configuring the climbing mechanism for the core. It looks like it will just be half the size for the coming floors.

I think it shouldn't count only because of a spire that makes you taller. From what I have read, if it was just the building itself taking away Wilshire Grand's spire, Salesforce Tower would be taller. Also, some articles say it would be finished in 2017 and some 2018. Which is it?

With this and 181 Freemont, San Francisco is giving New York a run for its money in terms of magnitude of skyline transformation. New York is getting tons of supertalls, but when you consider the size of the currently existing skyscrapers in San Francisco, these buildings are going to make this city's skyline one of, if not the, most transformed US skyline by 2020. Its really a cool thing to be able to watch unfold, and nothing like this has happened in San Francisco since the early 70's.

I know what you are saying but SF will have only 1 supertall but NYC will have more than 10 by 2020. I think SF overall has the 3rd best skyline in the US only behind NYC and Chicago.

It is true that New York is building a lot more. However, the San Francisco skyline will be hardly recognizable by 2020, perhaps even more altered than the skyline of New York. New York's skyline will be greatly altered by 2020, but Im not sure if it will be as different in 2020 compared to its present state as will the San Francisco skyline.
